“To Educate the Deaf in Order to Evangelize them”
- Fr. Joseph Gualandi

VISION
JGSHI promotes the firm commitment of improving the quality of life in Christian values of hearingimpaired children; and it becomes the competent and best place where love and care are witnessed and lived.
MISSION
JGSHI provides an education centered in the values of Christian life to hearing-impaired children; enhances the opportunities to develop their speech and spoken language of communication; and encourages their families and environment as partners in generating possibilities of integrating and accepting their dignity as a person in the society.
PHILOSOPHY
“The method for a child not the child for a method”. The school employs the multisensorial approach to oral intervention for children whose impairment is only with hearing.
All Gualandi students upon admission are required to read, understand and abide by the regulations in this handbook. The families as partners in the child’s development, are expected to be familiar with the contents of this handbook. The students encapsulates pertinent information about our school for the hearing impaired, its policies, its rules and regulations, its privileges and benefits. This handbook has been envisioned to serve as the guide for the teaching staff with regards to their role as teachers in the performance of their work, their relationship with the administration, peers and students and their responsibilities towards the student. This handbook will also serve as the guiding principle on how the teachers will be effective in giving the best education to our student at the same time maintaining self-discipline, responsibility and integrity as teaching members of this school. It is the vision of the board members of this school that our children become confident, responsible and independent citizens of our country eager to put the possibilities of each new day. And our teaching staff will be able to mold our hearing impaired students in leading a happy normal life.
